Hi, I'm Jeremy. I make sound art by glitching things that you know and trying to create something new from it. I make music for the ADHD generation. I'm the Pied Piper your parents warned you about.I've had some success in a few remix contests, and had some artists that I highly respect take an interest in my work. I am grateful for those opportunities because it gave me the confidence to continue making my art.
I really like taking concepts from visual arts and applying them to sound art. I've been fascinated by George Seurat's use of small dots of color to allow the eye to create a composite image. I attempt to do the same thing with tiny bits of sound, and let the ear combine the sounds to create a composite song.
I also have a cat named Nashville Thunderpussy, and he is awesome.
02/14/2012 - Today is Valentine’s Day…a day I normally scoff at since I’m single. But I forget that this day is also my grandparent’s wedding anniversary. My grandfather now has Alzheimer’s and doesn’t remember most things. It’s a cruel disease that is equally traumatic on the loved-ones and care-givers. It’s been rough for my grandmother. So I decided this Valentine’s Day to write a love song to my grandmother from my grandfather…to form the words that he can’t right now. And I chose to write it from his state-of-mind right now. Because I think it’s beautiful that no matter what he forgets, he always remembers that he loves her. Sometimes that’s the only thing he remembers. And that’s what love is. And that’s the kind of love I wanted to remember this Valentine’s Day. So Nana…this is to you from Biggie. We both love you. Happy Anniversary. <3
