Hi, I'm Jeremy. I make sound art by glitching things that you know and trying to create something new from it. I make music for the ADHD generation. I'm the Pied Piper your parents warned you about.I've had some success in a few remix contests, and had some artists that I highly respect take an interest in my work. I am grateful for those opportunities because it gave me the confidence to continue making my art.
I really like taking concepts from visual arts and applying them to sound art. I've been fascinated by George Seurat's use of small dots of color to allow the eye to create a composite image. I attempt to do the same thing with tiny bits of sound, and let the ear combine the sounds to create a composite song.
I also have a cat named Nashville Thunderpussy, and he is awesome.
Kid Akimbo (the hottie and OUTMusic Award winner in the picture above) and I met a few years ago when a mutual friend recommended me to do a remix for him. He contacted me and we began what would become a multi-year collaboration. Over the years, I’ve spent a week with him in San Francisco and visited him twice in NYC. And we’ve worked on a lot of material together from opposite sides of the country via the interwebz.
I am so pleased to say that his debut album is finally released! And even more proud to say that some of the work we did together is on that album. He actually chose for one of my remixes to be the FIRST track on the album. (Grateful.)
